It all started in 2015, When GDL died and woke up as Captain Casual. No kidding, He literally flatlined for 12 seconds, woke up in the back of an ambulance to his shirt being cut off. With intense gratitude, Casual realized a lot of things, two of the biggest being the scarcity of time and importance of love. He dove deep into the art; changed his whole life around and began to pursue in life what brought him happiness. Creative Creation. Come to find out, it brought other people the same happiness. Captain Casual's paintings, they became his way to share love and positively influence his surroundings. He pours his heart out into each work and allows it to radiate happiness.
Fast forward to today, Captain Casual has been able to do some pretty cool stuff since this all started(Brag time). Working with Nike to give 150 hand painted pairs of football cleats to the local Dallas kids. With Under Armour and Steph Curry to create a special experience at basketball training camps. Neiman Marcus at their annual precious Jewels meeting. He even helped Tillys with the launch of their denim line, RSQ, and new store in the Galleria. Captain Casual has been able to create massive murals allover Dallas and Miami, including the infamous Wynwood Walls and Art District.
