Music has always been and always will be my inspiration and muse and I have no plans to stray from that. However, every once in a while an opportunity presents itself that draws my attention. Such is the case with this piece.
I was recently approached at an art show with the proposition of straying from my musical subjects and as I was about to respond by respectfully declining, I heard the word Scarface. Needless to say I was intrigued. Having grown up on the proverbial “wrong side of the tracks”, Scarface was a character that not only resonated with me, but many of peers. Tony Montana’s will to do anything to make a better life for himself was something all of us gravitated toward.
