I should have known that Motley was going to have a large impact on my life. It’s the only band that I can recall not only where and when I first heard them, but the actual first line or lyric I heard.

When I first heard Vince’s voice while simultaneously gazing at the cassette case of Shout at the Devil I knew I was being transported into a strange and exciting new world and it has effected who I am to this very day. Careful consideration and calculated decisions went into how I wanted to portray Vince as this is part two of a four part series and I needed to stay true to the concept of the four pieces displayed side by side while still making it a viable option for those who just wanted a piece of Vince. The countless hours of listening to Motley during this piece (while no doubt pissing off the neighbours) reminded me how remarkable Vince’s rock n' roll scream was and how it guided us into a new decade and ultimately a new genre of music. For me it all started with the line – “He’s the wolf screaming lonely in the night”.
