Having read and watched numerous Cobain biographies and interviews over the years, many ideas came to mind but this painting best exemplifies the “reluctant rock star” that myself and many others have come to know him as. As much as I would have loved to have delved into a painting showing his facial features, this painting shows the shy, anti-glamour type of star that emerged from the punk rock clubs of Seattle, creating a new genre of not only music, but a lifestyle and changed rock and roll forever.
