I'M ABOUT TO BREAK
This one was a long winding road. Chester’s emotional live performances coupled with his personal demons provided a wide range of possible concepts and overall feelings for the piece. This piece transformed numerous times over the last year or so before settling on an extremely emotionally aggressive concept.

I’m glad this piece allowed me to re-connect with the band. I was an early adopter of Linkin Park, purchasing “Hybrid Theory” after only hearing one song. I was hooked immediately. Over the last ten years I drifted away from the band a bit, through no fault of theirs. In 2007/2008 I had “Minutes to Midnight” in heavy rotation. Unfortunately, this was during the same time I was losing my first Great Dane to cancer, so I started to emotionally equate LP’s sound to that period in my life and found them difficult to listen to (“Shadow of the Day” was playing during our last car ride together). I realize this may sound odd to some, but dog lovers will understand.

This piece once again utilized a combination of realism, juxtaposed with abstract, pop art and influence from comic illustration. The letters in the background are paying homage to the band’s first album cover, which was designed by their own Mike Shinoda and, coincidentally, had a distinct Banksy feel to it.
