First the astrolabe and then the sextant were essential measurement and reference instruments during the first years of the navigation, which allowed man to tackle large transcontinental expeditions using the calculation procedures from the position of the stars on the horizon. Each new discovery raises the level of precision of the instruments and with each improves is scale a rung in the understanding and knowledge of our backdrop of Fund. Those instruments that now is resolve archaic, accounted for in its day a milestone and a revolution that US led to the current systems of navigation by satellite. All this learning has led us to understand that we are tiny in the ocean of the universe and that the triviality involved in our complex world, just echo in the cosmic abysses.
