Corey Ribotsky is a full-time artist who lives and works in New York City as a full-time artist. In addition to working with artists of all skill levels, he also enjoys facilitating the process of learning for artists at all levels. Demonstrations, critiques, and individual instruction are all part of his workshops. There is a workshop in which artists are taught new techniques, encouraged to experiment, as well as encouraged to improve their knowledge of design principles so that they can apply them to their paintings during the workshop.
Corey’s Artwork and Creative Process
The artist Corey Ribotsky has been painting with acrylics, oils and watercolors for more than 14 years. Throughout his life, he has always been fascinated by color and how subtle variations in value can transform a flat surface into something that resembles a three-dimensional object. He is constantly drawn to the "language" of watercolor, the way the pigment flows over the paper, how it can either explode with intensity or blend slowly with a wet to dry technique, which is the way the pigment flows over the paper.
There is a constant depiction of the North Atlantic and New York in Corey's paintings. It is important to note that color and light are hallmarks of his increasingly popular work, as well as his ability to create intense images in any medium. As a result, he is able to achieve this by relying on extreme light and shadow. In his paintings, he emphasizes color, shape, value, and light, inviting the viewer to see the subject from a unique perspective according to his interpretation of the subject.
As a lover of nature, Corey is inspired to create paintings that reflect this love. Despite having a deep love for the natural world, he finds the ocean to be the most inspiring of all. Education and Recognition

A native New Yorker, Corey Ribotsky studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and obtained his Master's Degree in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts.
Throughout the world, his work can be found in public and private collections. As well as magazine, newspaper and television features, Corey has won a number of national awards for his work. There are numerous art societies where he is a signature member, including the National Watercolor Society, The Municipal Art Society of New York, the New York Watercolor Society, as well as regional and local groups.
