The Neo Cave drawings are made by Andrea Benetti on a particular support, which the Master creates by transforming a raw paper with various treatments and using many natural substances. The drawings are made with charcoal, sanguine, white chalk and sepia. The themes of the portraits sometimes borrow subjects painted by prehistoric man, or they transfigure and reinvent them, creating a neo-symbolism inspired by rock painting. The drawings are placed between two Plexiglas plates, joined by seven satin silver studs, in order to emulate, in the artist's mental game, a fantastic archaeological apocryphal.
