SPELEOLOGICAL MUSEUM "FRANCO ANELLI" COLLECTION - Grotte di Castellana, Italy The works are a bas-relief made with chalk on canvas, then pigmented with hennè and acrylic. After a very thin layer of resin, the painting is finished with oil paints.
This collection of works provides a fitting tribute to the men that tens of thousands of years ago first felt the need to communicate visually, leaving their mark on history. These forebears have the great honor of having invented the art, or rather, to have manifested itself first, as the need to express their artistic creativity is endemic to the human being. This collection of works consists of bas-reliefs with gesso on canvas and then antiqued using natural substances, such as cocoa, turmeric, henna, red sorrel, coffee. Finally, some parts of the works are then painted with oil paints.
Inspired by a true story, Invincible recounts the last 48 hours in the life of Marc-Antoine Bernier, a 14-year-old boy on a desperate quest for freedom.
