Даніїл Немировський

Daniil Nemirovsky graduated from the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture in Kyiv and Kyiv Media Art Academy.

Since 2019, Nemirovsky has been working as a teacher at the College of Arts and Design of the Kyiv University of Technology and Design. He specializes in printmaking and has contributed illustrations to various publications, including the newspaper "Vono" and the "Poeticheskiy Listok" publishing house.

Nemirovsky has participated in municipal, regional, national, and international art exhibitions since 2012. He has also held solo exhibitions in Kyiv and Chernihiv in 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2015, respectively. Some of his works were stored in the Archip Kuindzhi Center for Contemporary Art in Mariupol.

Nemirovsky's life took a turn when the war in eastern Ukraine escalated. He was teaching at the Mariupol branch of the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture when the fighting broke out. He recalls the horrors he experienced during that time, saying, "At first, we ate frozen food from warehouses, but by the end of March, the food and water had run out, and we couldn't wait any longer."
Daniil Nemirovsky was able to leave besieged Mariupol at the end of March 2022. He spent a month in a basement where he painted several portraits of his shelter neighbors.
