Li Chevalier

诗蓝

Li Chevalier (Chinese: 诗蓝; pinyin: Shī Lán; born March 30, 1961) is a Chinese-born French artist. She has been working at the crossroads of Europe and Asia for the past two decades . Her majors solo exhibitions took place at Contemporary Art Museum Rome ( Macro Roma 2017) ; Base Sous Marine Contemporary Art Centre France ( 2014); State Opera China (2013) Shanghai Art Museum 2012; National Art Museum of China in Beijing. ( NAMOC 2010 ). She participated the Royal Academy of London summer exhibition in 2007.

Li Chevalier is mostly known for her semi-abstract symbolisme style in ink painting on canvas, born out of blending western media and elements of eastern aesthetic. Her multimedia installations expresses a strong passion for music. Her exhibitions are mostly distinguished by her own particular spatial composition and scenographic design. She has been collaboration with the musicians from Paris Opera since last 20 years , notably at the State Opera China in 2013
