Cometan the Contemplator is a late 2019 depiction of Cometan by the English illustrator David Young that was commissioned by the Astronist Institution. It is certified as the second pictorial or illustrative depiction of Cometan succeeding the Cosmic Union of Cometan.
It represents Cometan on his journey to achieving astrosis experiencing an indrucy, or personal inspiration. Key features of the illustration are the cosmic eyes of Cometan, the cosmicality of the paper, the halo effect around his head and upper body as well as the use of the colour purple as the main representative colour of the Astronist Institution and of the Astronist religion as a whole.

Currently, this art piece is wholly owned by the Astronist Institution and its exact location is not disclosed, although it is likely to be stored in the offices of the Astronist Institution in the City of Preston, England.
