Daniele Bongiovanni

Daniele Bongiovanni

Daniele Bongiovanni is an Italian painter and art professor born in Palermo in 1986. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Palermo, where he received a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Fine Arts with Honors, respectively, with a thesis on Oskar Kokoschka's expressionism and a thesis on a concept of deconstruction in Western painting from the 16th to the 20th century. Painter universally renowned for the distinctive stylistic motif of "white skies", also engaged in the field of research, has consistently focused his work on natural space and the human figure. His subjects, though inspired by external reality, have consistently maintained a partially idealized and rarefied configuration, characteristics motivated by profound conceptualization. «It's the result of a remarkable evolution of his research in the direction of a radical will to essentialize, or if you want to sublimate, the figurative language» (from the text "Daniele Bongiovanni. Con Pura Forma" by Francesco Poli, 2019).

Over the years, he has developed various thematic cycles, addressing issues such as aesthetic philosophy, which he has presented, in solo and group exhibitions, in museums, galleries, and other cultural institutions worldwide.
